Making business driving safer

LONDON: Driving for Better Business, a government-backed organisation set up to help cut road traffic accidents is campaigning to help firms meet their obligations to employees.
It says some 200 deaths and serious injuries a week are from accidents involving drivers at work and more employees are killed and seriously injured on Britain's roads while driving for work than in any other job.
The campaign, at www.drivingforbetterbusiness.com helps business cut the accident rate. Delivered by RoadSafe and originally to run until mid-2009, the programme has won another three years' funding.
