Travis Perkins goes pink

Published:  10 February, 2010

LONDON: An 18-tonne lorry with crane based at the South Woodford branch of Travis Perkins, in Marlborough Road, has been resprayed pink as the company prepares to hold it's annual fundraising events which this year will benefit the Breast Cancer Campaign and Children's Hospices charity.

Stuart Day, branch assistant manager said: "The plan is to travel the local area dishing out awareness cards and carrying a collection bucket for any donations.

"The company as a whole lends itself to a charity week where every branch in the Travis Perkins Group - over 1,200 branches - gets involved in raising funds for charity by conducting raffles, on-line auctions, fun-days - normally at Rockingham raceway - and lots more."

The company's fundraising week starts on Monday, February 22.
