Bovis is back in the black

Published:  08 March, 2010

LONDON: Bovis Homes is back in profit after a calamitous 2008.

The company reported a pre-tax profit of 4.8m last year after losing 78.7m in 2008.

In its annual report, Bovis forecast that house prices are likely to be stable this year.

Bovis follows Taylor Wimpey in returning to the black and said that it is now "well placed to use its balance sheet strength to acquire new land for homes to support future growth".
