Weiss to leave Lord

Published:  30 November, 2010

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE: Andrew Weiss, managing director of Isaac Lord, the specialist tool retailer, is to leave the business in May 2011.

He was brought into the business seven years ago by the Lord family with a mandate to strengthen profits and develop the core brand.

Mr Weiss established the company as Britain's ‘best tool retailer’ an accolade that was recently repeated for the fourth time at this year's Retail Awards in Manchester.

Following a strategic review and the decision by the Lord family to exit the business, Mr Weiss led the sale process ensuring a seamless transition to the new owners and has spent the last 12 months managing their integration into the business.

“David Abbott and Andrew Cripwell, the new owners, are now in a position to take things forward and I am confident they will move the business to a new level,” said Mr Weiss.
