Travis Perkins keeps BSS Aldridge store

ALDRIDGE: Travis Perkins will be allowed to retain its Aldridge store after the Office of Fair Trading ruled that competition there was sufficiently robust.

The OFT proposes to vary Travis Perkins' undertakings following the takeover of BSS to remove the obligation to make a divestment in the area around the BSS Aldridge-Brickyard Road store. The OFT accepts that Saint Gobain's Graham branch provides competition within the 10-mile catchment area of the branch.
