Government pledges more contracts to small firms

LONDON: Small and medium sized merchants could gain if government plans to push more work towards small businesses succeed.


Prime minister David Cameron has vowed to hand more construction contracts to small and medium sized firms. The move is part of government efforts to be identified with growth and not cuts in the run-up to the Budget but Mr Cameron offered little detail on what actions government will take and what bureaucracy will be removed.
