Bovis Homes starts on 33 new sites

LONGFIELD: Bovis Homes starts building on 33 new sites this year the company said as it released healthy financial results this morning. Turnover was £298.6m up from £281.5m and pre-tax profit at £18.5m up from £7.5m.

Bovis said it expects work to start on 33 new schemes this year bringing its total number of active sites to 76, mainly in the south of England.

The house builder is continuing to build up its land bank and reported significant construction cost savings during the second half of last year.

Chief executive David Ritchie said: "The group has made significant progress with its growth strategy through substantial land investment, a strong pipeline of further land acquisition opportunities and a strong expected increase in active sales outlets."
