Builders' Merchant has a flutter for charity

Published:  28 March, 2011

COVENTRY: Jewson has raised £2000 for its charity partner Help the Hospices at this year’s Cheltenham Festival.

Jewson continued its association with The Festival by sponsoring the new race – the Grade 2 Jewson Novices’ Chase, which took place on the third day of the festival.

220 Jewson customers from across the country were entertained in VIP style on the day, enjoying the very best that racing has to offer – top class horses, jockeys and races. While customers were encouraged to have a flutter on the horses, they were also asked to dig deep to donate to the charity on the day and raised a generous £2000 as a result.
