CAMBRIDGE: Seven teams from independent and national builders' merchants took part in the third IoBM Skills Challenge Day. Hosted at the Cambridge Regional College Smartlife Centre in Cambridge, teams from MKM, Parkers, EH Smith, Ridgeons, Travis Perkins and the BMF attempted carpentry, brickwork, painting and electrical. The winners, MKM, and runners-up, Parker building Supplies, receieved trophies sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Builders' Merchants.
HAMPTON COURT: Brett Landscaping is having a busy July at the RHS flower shows. At the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Brett sponsored two gardens, one of which demonstrated a garden at night, and the other featured wheelchair accessibility and therapeutic benefits.
TANDRIDGE: The Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants held its recent annual golf day at Tandridge Golf Club. The day was organised by liveryman Edwin Ray, with master Gary Hopkins, managing director of Turnbull & Co builders’ merchant, presenting the prizes.
