Grant & Stone announces expansion

Published:  27 June, 2011

MAIDENHEAD: Grant & Stone, the family-run builders' merchants which has been trading for nearly 25 years, announced the opening of one of its "most exciting new branches in recent years".

As of the 24 June 2011, Grant & Stone acquired the Meakins branch in Maidenhead. As fellow independent builders' merchants in the Home Counties, this branch is well suited to complement the existing plumbers' merchants, bathroom showroom and electrical wholesalers in the area.

The company also took the opportunity to announce that Alan Kent, formally the assistant manager of its Pinner branch and a long-standing member of the company, has been promoted to branch manager of this new builders' merchants operation.
