Gibbs & Dandy offers Greenworks gateway

Published:  25 July, 2011

LUTON: Specialist builders' merchant, Gibbs & Dandy, has launched a free online learning portal, available to all its customers.

Customers can access the Greenworks Learning Gateway by visiting www.gibbsanddandy.com and clicking on the link to find free bite-size training tutorials on a range of topics covered under sustainable building practices and renewable technologies.

The Greenworks Learning Gateway features over 100 hours of tutorials covering the latest product information on insulation, timber, building fabric solutions and renewable technology, as well as market facts, which provide installers with the background to this sector.

"The audio-based courses take around 40 minutes to complete, and do not require extensive on-screen reading," said Tania Tams, the merchant's marketing director.

"To make learning more interactive companies can set up teams and create tasks for employees to complete.

"We're pleased to be able to offer this free service to all our customers, as we feel it provides a very comprehensive introduction into this area of expertise.

"Its main function is to raise awareness among our customers of this emerging field, as many will not have knowledge of the products and issues relating to sustainable building practices and renewable technologies. It's the perfect introduction for customers wanting to find out more before embarking on qualifications and full training programmes."
