MAIDSTONE: Refurbishment of the Maidstone campus of Mid Kent College of Further Education is due to start in February.

A contractor is yet to be appointed to complete the estimated £13m planning and work that includes external landscaping, over-cladding and refurbishing major buildings on the site.

The Maidstone office of Drivers Jonas Deloitte is acting as the clients agent on the job, which will involve upgrading around 10 000sq metres of buildings.

Interested firms have until 23 September to submit to prequalify, with tenders due out in early November.
