NEWCASTLE: JT Dove is to sell products online – an industry first that is expected to boost the merchant’s sales by a fifth.

Steve Robinson, managing director said: "Previously, we viewed our website as a marketing tool so customers could find our stores and see what we would be likely to have in stock."

"But, with the boom of online sales across all retailers, we thought now was the optimum time to launch our web shop, accessible across the entire country with every product we stock.

"We anticipate that the online order should boost our sales by at least 20%."

The online store at jtdove.com will be open to trade and private customers.
