Buyer sought for Everest

CUFFLEY: A buyer is being sought for the iconic Everest double glazing company controlled by Cheshire businessman Brian Kennedy, according to The Manchester Evening News.

Corporate finance firm Clearwater has been appointed to find a new backer for the home improvements company bought by Kennedy from Caradon in 1999. Kennedy is a 42% shareholder in Everest's parent company, Home Improvement Group Holdings. The deal could value the group at between £50m and £100m.
