Discount building suppliers celebrates success in year one

Published:  08 February, 2012

NORFOLK: Online discount building suppliers, Less2Build are celebrating a successful first year of offering professional and amateur builders alike building supplies at trade prices, after founders, Paul and Cas Dack noticed a niche in the market selling excess supplies on eBay in January 2011.

The husband and wife team, who worked as a builder and in online retail respectively, have combined their respective talents to create a range of websites, offering products across the building industry.

Alongside Less2Build, who is based at North Pickenham in Norfolk, are sister organisations Less2Plumb, Less2Fix, Less2Kitchens, Less2Tile and Less2Landscape, which cover the entire building trade. The Less2 group have already developed a loyal customer base, thanks to their low prices and first-class customer service.

The Less2 group, which covers the entire UK, deals directly with wholesalers and specialist product manufacturers throughout the country, allowing them to use their buying power to negotiate great discounts to pass on to their customers.

Less2Build have already been recognised by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) who have awarded the business their ‘Sign of Building Quality’ TrustMark.

The FMB, which is the largest trade association in the UK, was established over 70 years ago to provide a source of professional knowledge, advice and support for small and medium building firms. Today, the FMB continues to be a benchmark for dependable quality builders and specialist trades people through the TrustMark scheme.

Mr Dack said: “It is a great to be celebrating our year anniversary. We have been delighted with how quickly we have been able to grow and the positive feedback we have had from our customers. For us to be able to celebrate this is and be recognised by the FMB with their TrustMark is an honour. Having begun Less2Build with the intention of helping to get Britain building again, by passing on great discounts to our customers, it is a real boost to know that our work is valued and appreciated by our peers.”
