Topps Tiles director steps down

CHEADLE HULME: Nick Ounstead, who was part of the management team which floated Topps Tiles on the stock market in 1997, has retired from the tile and wood flooring specialist’s board.

Mr Ounstead served as chief executive of Topps from 2002 to 2007 and has latterly worked as its marketing director. He floated Topps with Barry Bester and Stuart Williams, whose son Matthew is its current chief executive.

Current chairman Michael Jack said: “All of us will miss his wise counsel around the boardroom table and throughout the business.”
