UK Spares appoints new manager

Published:  11 May, 2012

BRISTOL: UK Spares – the plumbing and heating industry’s spare parts supply solution for electric water heating and electric space heating – has appointed Miriam Booth as business manager.

Based at the company’s Bristol headquarters, Ms Booth will be responsible for the overall strategy for UK Spares – part of UK Electric – and will manage all aspects of the business: from planning for growth, to operations, supplier and customer relationship management.

With over 13 years in the industry, Ms Booth brings diverse experience to her new position. Having built her career at a well known UK plumbing and heating business, being rapidly promoted from telesales, through to office manager, export manager based in France, and operations manager, Miriam recently completed a Masters in Business Administration.

The only female manager out of UK Electric’s 19 business centres, Ms Booth said: ‘’I’m delighted to have the opportunity to really put UK Spares on the map. It’s a solid business that has been serving the heating and plumbing industry since 1993. More than simply a distributor, the company’s wealth of expertise means that we can offer an intelligent solution for merchants and installers, to ensure their needs are met with exactly the right product at the right time.

"My challenge is to take UK Spares to the next level and unlock its potential for huge growth – and it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to embracing.’’

UK Spares provides branded spare parts for everything from electric showers to immersion heaters, and from ventilation to commercial heating. Its comprehensive A-Z of brands range from Ariston to Zip - and everything in between. With over 2000 product lines in stock, the company can also quickly source even the most obscure spares from its extensive network of suppliers.
