BSW Timber strengthens purchasing team with senior appointment

FORT WILLIAM: BSW Timber has appointed Mick Bottomley as its purchasing manager North.

Based at Fort William and Boat of Garten, Mr Bottomley succeeds John Parteger who will retire at the end of 2012. Mr Parteger will remain at BSW until the end of the year to drive projects and support Mr Bottomley in his new role.

Mr Bottomley is a chartered forester and brings 25 years of knowledge to BSW Timber. His industry experience includes spending 20 years with the Forestry Commission. He also holds an MBA from the Open University, specialising in strategic planning.

Welcoming the new appointment, Tony Hackney, BSW's chief executive, said: "Mick's appointment will strengthen our purchasing team in the North of the UK. We are confident he will bring a great deal of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to the role and we look forward to working with him."
