Published:  29 June, 2012

CAMBRIDGE: Timber and builders merchant Ridgeons has awarded a £500 000 contract to Linde for the supply of a fleet of forklift trucks and side-loaders.

It has purchased 12 diesel counterbalance trucks, two electric counterbalance trucks and two sideloaders from Linde. All these trucks have a 10-year maintenance contract.

Fleet manager Ewan Hunter said: “Our fleet of Linde IC counterbalance trucks enables us to lift pallets on and off our delivery vehicles easily while the S50 side loaders are capable of lifting long pallets of timber at almost 6m in length, on and off our vehicles.”
