Jewson takes over Lerwick Building Centre

LERWICK: Jewson has acquired the builders’ merchants and showroom businesssof Lerwick Building Centre.

Lerwick Building Centre was an independent merchant in Shetland providing general building materials, bathrooms, kitchens, fireplaces, tiling and lighting.

Lerwick Building Centre staff move to Jewson. Lerwick Building Centre owner Leslie Irvine said that, following the sale, he now wanted to concentrate on his other services. “It’s business as usual for the furniture shop, the garage and the plant hire, and obviously Irvine Contractors.”
