UK: Graham Vail has been appointed as area sales manager for the South-East, while James Bailey joins as technical advisor and trainer. Mr Vail and Mr Bailey bring with them over 43 years of experience in the heating and renewable energy sector, which will further enhance the services offered to installers and end users by Danfoss.
Mr Vail began his career as an apprentice for British Gas, before becoming a qualified engineer and later a technical engineer for the company. After this, Mr Vail transferred into project management, working alongside developers and housing associations. This experience has given him an in-depth understanding of the energy issues affecting the social housing sector, which will be valuable in enhancing Danfoss’ expertise in this area. Mr Vail will head up sales operations in the South-East, working as part of the national sales team to generate enquiries for Danfoss’ network of approved heat pump installers, while also providing product and technical support. He will work with a variety of clients, ranging from social housing, local authorities, developers and self builders, particularly in off gas areas.
Following five years’ experience working in the heat pump industry, Mr Bailey has a wealth of experience to bring to his new role at Danfoss. His role will see him providing technical support, as well as training, to Danfoss’ network of installers.
Chris Dale, director of Danfoss Heat Pumps, said: “We are delighted to welcome Graham and James as two experienced heating industry professionals to our business. These are exciting times with 2013 set to see the roll out of the Green Deal and the launch of the Renewable Heat Incentive for homeowners, we are focused on supporting our installer network to maximize on the opportunities from heat pump technology – and Graham and James will play a key role in this.”
