F&P Wholsesale appoints new area sales manager

Published:  07 January, 2013

F & P Wholesale has promoted Justin Protheroe to area sales manager in recognition of his achievements over the past five years at the company.

Originally starting out his career as a plasterer, Mr Protheroe quickly found a passion for plumbing after working with a friend in a London shop in 2004 and since then, he’s never looked back. It was only a short time later that he was head hunted by F & P Wholesale, starting his career path with the business as a Sales Representative in December 2007.

In a short time, Mr Protheroe was transferred to the North and East of London as a sales representative before securing a promotion to business development manager, a position he held until this latest appointment.

On his new position, Mr Protheroe commented: “I’ve had a very busy time since I joined the business five years ago, with four big moves during that time. I am very passionate about what I do and excited about my new role as area sales manager. I am a salesman at heart and will still go and see my core customers face-to-face, but now I am managing two sales representatives who I work with on a daily basis, as well as other wider projects.

“F & P Wholesale is an amazing company to work for and they really focus on the individual, which has certainly helped me to in my own career development. I’ve even started looking ahead to the next step, having been chosen by F & P Wholesale to participate in a senior management course in the New Year.

“The personal approach the business takes isn’t just for the staff; it’s also the ethos of how we work with our customers. We work closely with our customers to understand their individual business needs and we really believe in what we’re doing – that’s why we can confidently offer our ‘One Tomorrow’ product delivery.

“Essentially, people trade with people and in this new role, I will continue to work to deliver, with my team, the best customer service underpinned by the best logistics in the industry.”

Mark Earnshaw, managing director for F & P Wholesale, commented: “Justin has worked very hard since he joined the company in 2007 and the passion he has for what he does has undoubtedly helped him to excel.

“As our new area sales manager, Justin is responsible for overseeing the sales team in London and ensuring that we deliver nothing short of excellent customer service and support. On behalf of everyone at F & P Wholesale, I would like to wish Justin every success in this new position.”
