CT Baker opens fourth branch

Published:  18 March, 2013

CT Baker has opened its fourth depot at Aylsham, Norfolk.

Will Peck, previously the deputy at Baker’s Holt depot, is the new manager of CT Baker’s Aylsham depot.

Michael Baker, managing director at CT Baker, has said the search for an Aylsham site began seven years ago. He has to meet some stringent and expensive sustainability measures set by the local authority, including a wood chip boiler and storm water drainage tank.

The Aylsham unit is state-of-the-art, combining a 'dirty' area for materials with an acre of concrete and a shop.

The builders’ merchant business accounts for about 30 percent of the overall £22m turnover at the CT Baker Group, which also includes non-building retail outlets.
