Jewson wins contract with Pinewood and Shepperton Studios

Published:  13 January, 2015

Jewson has been granted the right to supply Pinewood and Shepperton Studios with a range of building materials to service the studio's on-site requirements.

In addition, the supplier of building materials has been granted a five-year lease over premises situated at Pinewood Studios and Shepperton Studios, and is acquiring goods and employees previously owned and employed by Pinewood.

Jewson was selected due to the flexibility of its services, and will be offering on-site branches as well as a dedicated team.

Pinewood and Shepperton Studios are one of the world’s leading destinations for the makers of film, television, commercials and video games. The building materials provided from Jewson will be used in a variety of ways to support set building for the screen industries.

When selecting a partner to work with, sustainability was of key importance to the team from Pinewood and Shepperton Studios. Jewson was therefore chosen due to this mutually shared business ethos, alongside the robust logistics and flexible store management the experienced merchant could offer.

Paul Edwards, director of sales for Jewson, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious customer. Our on-site branches will deliver a wide range of materials to meet the studios’ challenging requirements.

“Our presence on-site will reduce administration for the studios and improve efficiency in line with sustainability targets. We look forward to a successful relationship with Pinewood and Shepperton Studios.”
