The Huws Gray team successfully completed the Anglesey Half Marathon on Sunday 1 March, raising over £4,000 for Tŷ Gobaith/Hope House Children's Hospice.

The dedicated team included the company's managing director, Terry Owen, operations manager Chris Joyce, area managers Jamie and Matty, Dafydd Hughes from marketing, Gethin and Ricky from truss design, Kevin from Dolgellau, Donna and Sion from the head office, Mike and Paul from Gaerwen and Chris from the Holyhead branch.

Mr Hughes said: "The conditions were tough, but the event was well organised and it was a great course. We are very pleased to have raised essential funding for Tŷ Gobaith/Hope House Children's Hospice.

"We would like to thank everyone who supported and sponsored us. The team really enjoyed it and we're thinking of doing it again in 2016."

Among the team there were some fantastic finishing times with four Huws Gray team members completing the course in less than 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The team said: "We put in a lot of hard work and we did quite a lot of training. The way back from Beaumaris was tough and the head wind didn't help. But we're very pleased with our times and we're proud of the whole team for raising a significant amount for a fantastic cause."

This was the first fundraising event in Huws Gray’s 25-year anniversary calendar. The company has plenty more events coming up such as bike rides, zip-wire, sky diving and another half marathon in Chester on 17 May. This is all part of Huws Gray's commitment throughout 2015 to children's hospices.
