Mayor Jeremy Punchard recently cut the ribbon to Kent Blaxill’s new decorative store in Fakenham.

Located at Clip Bush Park in Hawthorn Way, the 2,600 sq ft unit is Kent Blaxill’s 10th East Anglian store and continues the company’s expansion policy. The branch will be managed by Michael Nicholls, who has previously been in charge of the company’s Norwich branch.

Jeremy Punchard welcomed Kent Blaxill staff and customers by saying: “Good luck to Michael and his team, and I am sure they will have every success, particularly with the potential development of 800 new homes nearby.”

Simon Blaxill, managing director of Kent Blaxill, told guests: “As a family run company that has been trading for 177 years, it has taken us a little while to reach Fakenham. We have had a branch in Norwich for 25 years but we believe we will be able to serve the north of the county much more effectively through our new Fakenham store.

“We are a company that believes in high levels of service and good quality products – we specialise in serving the decorating trade but we are very happy to serve members of the public as well.”

Commenting on the new store, Mr Nicholls, said: “I feel really positive about the potential to serve the decorating trade in a thriving market town. From the moment our doors opened we have also been getting footfall from retail customers too. We are in a great easy-to-access location which can save decorators a lot of time, and are providing them with a smart and fashionable looking store.”

Working alongside Mr Nicholls will be Sam Pitcher and Katy Wright.

The store will stock Dulux, Crown and Armstead paint brands, as well as designer paint labels such as Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, and Paint Library. It will also provide a delivery service for trade customers.
