Saint-Gobain Building Distribution has appointed Regent Samsic to clean more than 350 building materials distribution sites across the UK.

The French company employs over 17,000 people in the UK & Ireland, in the design, manufacture and distribution of building materials.

Regent Samsic won the £1 million-plus cleaning contract to the company’s UK sites, within three weeks sending its workers to retail sites operated by Jewson and other high street brands.

Saint-Gobain building distribution facility and services manager, Christian Broady, said: “After receiving poor service for several years with the previous incumbent cleaning company we had to be very diligent in selecting our new supplier.

“Regent Samsic have not let us down, mobilising and delivering the contract in a truly professional manner. I am confident in promoting the company, both internally and externally to other businesses.”

Regent Samsic joint managing director, John Critchell, said: “Our teams did a fantastic job getting to sites, quickly meeting the staff and putting processes in place to ensure a swift and easy transfer from the previous incumbent to ourselves.

“We’ve accrued a lot of experience providing support services to large retail sites and we’re looking forward to bringing that experience to bear at Saint-Gobain Building Distribution.”

Regent Samsic has also added two further sites to its national contract with vehicle retailer Vertu Motors, adding to its cleaning contract with Hertfordshire County Council.
