For the first time in the New Forest Show’s 95-year history a working house has been built on its Hampshire site, in the form of 'The House that Elliotts Built'.
Elliotts, supplier of building products for the trade and public, built the entire house, featuring working heating, lighting and water in one week.
The house is fuelled by the latest renewable technology and has its own underfloor heating system and landscaped garden.
‘The House That Elliotts Built’ showcases a wide range of products to help people build, from power tools and kitchens to paving and solar panels. The bathroom, kitchen and building itself will be auctioned off at the end of the show.
As well as products to choose from competitions will be held at the house, with prizes of up to £2000 to be won. One particular contest will see visitors challenged to build a giant Lego wall against the clock.
In addition to these interactive elements, Elliotts’ stand is home to the company’s building and landscaping experts, who will give free advice, tips and information to visitors to get them building.
Tom Elliott, managing director of Elliotts, said: “It was an incredibly ambitious mission to build a house in just a week but we have a can-do attitude and thrive on a challenge. The results are fantastic and the house is certainly turning heads at the show.

The Elliotts stand will include a kitchen and bathroom display, brick library, joinery section, doors, windows, solar panels, air source heat pumps and home control units. It will be hosted at this year’s New Forest Show stand number 236 in block 26.
