Prestressed concrete lintel manufacturer Naylor Concrete Products has opened a new manufacturing facility in Barugh Green, Barnsley.
Naylor has manufactured lintels since 1965 and has, for the last 35 years, operated from a three-acre leasehold site at Ossett, near Wakefield, but space restrictions have recently restricted growth.
To address this, earlier this year the company acquired a nine-acre freehold site at Barugh Green, 10 miles from Ossett and two miles from the Naylor Head Office at Cawthorne.
The relocation process started in April 2015 and was recently completed, with an opening ceremony taking place on 4 September
Local MP Dan Jarvis presided over the ceremony, which had a dual purpose in that the company also celebrated 50 years since its formation.
Helen MacIntosh, managing director of Naylor Concrete Products, said: “We have some excellent new product plans which Ossett’s limited space prevented us from progressing. The new site gives us considerably more manufacturing and storage space; this will allow Naylor Concrete Products to fulfil its growth potential.”
