The Pudsey branch of builders’ merchant, Gibbs & Dandy, has signed a sponsorship deal with Bradford Bulls rugby league team, as part of a drive to enhance the company’s profile and increase business in West Yorkshire.

Gibbs & Dandy already has two other branches in the area: the new Leeds branch, which opened in August, and another in Huddersfield. Combined, the three branches will target trade professionals in the region, with the Pudsey branch focusing on building sales in the Bradford area.

This partnership with the Bulls, which will play a key role in the Pudsey branch’s sales drive, will see the Gibbs & Dandy logo appear on both the home and away shirts for the 2016 season.

In addition to shirt sponsorship, the branch and the club will also partner on various community projects, as part of their joint commitment to support their respective local communities. Details for these projects are expected to be announced later this year.

Nik Beedham, general manager at Gibbs & Dandy Pudsey, said: “We are aiming for 2016 to be our most successful year of business to date, and in order to grow and develop our brand in the local area, we believe partnering with the Bulls is the right thing to do as it will raise the branch’s profile among a new and wider audience in and around Bradford.

“The Bulls are working their way back in to the Super League and we are looking to grow in a similar way, so this deal is an ideal fit.

“The Bulls and Gibbs & Dandy are likeminded organisations, in the terms of the way we think of our community. The Bulls are a community-orientated club, as we are a community-orientated business. The Bulls also have a proud heritage, as do we, and both brands share common goals.”

Bradford Bulls’ commercial manager, Rob Parker, said: “I’m really pleased with this sponsorship deal because it comes as a result of a partnership that began back in January.

“The branch originally took out some match sponsorship packages, but since then we’ve been working closely together and building a really good relationship, which has now led to this fantastic deal that will benefit us both.”
