The Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants (WCoBM) recently invited Liveryman Andy Williamson to join the Court at a prestigious ceremony in October.

Mr Williamson is group managing director of IKO and has been a Liveryman of the Company since 2008. His advancement to Court Assistant sets him on the path to becoming Master, subject to election.

Current Master Leo Martin said: “We congratulate Andy on his appointment to the Court. He is an active member of the Livery Company and a leading figure in our industry, which will stand him in good stead as he prepares for this significant role. We wish him all the best.”

Mr Williamson said: “I feel honoured and proud to have been invited on to the WCoBM Court. The Livery plays a key part in the construction and builders’ merchant sectors, promoting training and education and fundraising for a number of charities. It’s also very active in raising the profile of our industry in the City, and highlighting the importance of builders’ merchants in supplying Britain’s building needs.”
