The Chichester and Portsmouth branches of Covers Timber and Builders Merchants have donated building materials to the community initiative Havant Men’s Shed Association.

The Havant Men’s Shed Association undertakes community projects to help individuals and charities that require support with practical tasks such as gardening and DIY projects.

Dale Lambourne, depot manager at Covers Portsmouth, said: “The Havant Men’s Shed contributes a great deal to the local community and we are delighted to be supporting them in this way.”

The donation from Covers includes a variety of timber and metal materials that will be used by the association to complete future requests for help.

Steve Sadler, chairman of Havant Men’s Shed Association, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Covers for their generous donation. We receive regular requests from disabled or elderly people who are unable to complete various tasks themselves. The provision of these materials will make it a lot easier for us to help them and complete projects more quickly.”
