After 20 years of successful trading, supplying timber to builders, architects and clients direct, Ben Sutton has taken over the running of the business.
Mr Sutton is excited about the new opportunity that it will bring, as he will now control the end-to-end process for the timber, starting at the identification process of the logs in the woods, through to delivering the end product to clients.
In addition, Mr Sutton is delighted that he is able to expand his product range with the inclusion of engineered flooring and a joinery shop on-site, which enables him to create individual items, as well as bulk orders.
He said: “The new business is even bigger and better than before. While we have kept the trading name as Sutton Timber, the products, which I am taking to market have increased, which means that I can deliver even better service.
“As I now visit the forests and woods, inspect the logs that I am buying, before my team then move them to the yard, it means that I have complete control over the end-to-end process. This means that I can talk about the heritage of every piece of wood that I sell.”
Mr Sutton continued: “The addition of the joinery ship on-site adds a further dimension as I can create the products wanted and make sure the finished products meet what my customers want.
“All of us at Sutton Timber are really proud about what we have delivered over the last 20 years, but even more excited about what the future will bring.”
