Keystone Group has announced an ambitious investment plan as part of its aim to increase turnover to £100m.

The steel lintel and roof window manufacturer made the announcement following its recent inclusion in this year's Parliamentary Review. The company was singled out for praise by Chanceller of the Exchequer, the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, after more than doubling its workforce in the last three years.

Building on this achievement, the company is now preparing for more rapid growth through innovation, with ambitious expansion plans for 2017.

Over the next 12 months, one of the Group's brands, Keylite Roof Windows, will continue to strengthen and develop its presence in Germany, launch into the French marketplace and also has plans for a new manufacturing facility.

The Group was one of only six construction and engineering companies to be highlighted in the Parliamentary Review and the only steel lintel manufacturer and roof window manufacturer. The Review provides a comprehensive summary of the past year and a reliable template for next 12 months to come, with commentary from industry leading companies, Secretaries of State, Ministers and MPs.

Special recognition was earned for The Keystone Group following its high performance in a challenging market. Keystone’s continued growth has outperformed the sector, with sales year-to-date up in excess of 20%, compared to 2015.

In the Review, the company was commended for its pioneering approach to addressing the major challenges facing the UK construction market, such as skilled labour shortages. The Group was also applauded for its recent innovations, which have been developed to meet the stringent regulation challenges faced by housebuilders.

Sean Coyle, chairman of The Keystone Group, said: "Since we set the company up in 1989, making one product with a handful of staff, it's been an incredible experience to see it grow to the level we have reached today. Despite the current economic climate, we believe the opportunities to compete in Europe are considerable and the opportunity to gain market share in the UK offers the prospect of extremely significant sales growth."

The Keystone Group consists of six divisions: Keystone Lintels; IG Lintels; Keylite Roof Windows; IG Elements; IG Masonry Support Systems; and Smartroof. The company has also recently entered into a strategic partnership with roof truss manufacturer Wyckham Blackwell.

The Group's headquarters are in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, with further manufacturing plants in Cookstown (N. Ireland), Cwmbran, Overseal and Poland.
