HPS nears charity milestone

Following a year of record turnover in 2016, Heating Plumbing Supplies (HPS) is nearing a fundraising milestone in its continued support of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

In 2016, the plumbing and heating merchant saw its turnover rise to £56.39m, up from £53.05m in the previous year. In the same year, HPS staff raised a record £87,090 for its chosen charity, with the help of the merchant's suppliers.

Peter Wilson, sales and marketing director of HPS, said: "Since starting to raise funds in 2005 we have now raised an amazing £455,399 for Great Ormond Street and look forward to passing the £500,000 milestone later this year!"

According to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, the funds from HPS' efforts in 2016 have been allocated to the Neurosciences ward, to enable patients to have a parent or carer staying by their bedside.

Every year, Great Ormond Street Hospital treats thousands of children who have been diagnosed with rare, complex and serious conditions.
