Addis Housewares has teamed up with the Rainy Day Trust to raise awareness and funds for the home improvement workforce and their families.

The company will be sponsoring Rainy Day Trust chief executive Bryan Clover, as he swaps the boardroom for the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast, pledging to walk 186 miles in 10 days, beginning on 3 May.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path Challenge, infamous for its 35,000ft ascent, narrow paths and undulations, has attracted many challengers, but few that have vowed to compete the course in just 10 days.

“The recommended route is 15 days and given that the ascent-descent is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest, I think this is certainly going to live up to the challenge,” said Mr Clover.

“I’m really looking forward to the hike and we hope it raises awareness of the help that we can give people from our industry that live and work in Wales.”

All the proceeds raised will be invested into Rainy Day Trust projects in South Wales, which include help for apprentices and support for those returning to work after a period away.
