Fernox is lending its support to the children’s cancer charity Candlelighters, and has donated 12 TF1 Omega Filters and various chemical water treatment products to the Gas Chat Tour, which is providing free central heating system installations in exchange for charitable donations.

The Gas Chat Tour is taking place throughout 2017, calling at 12 properties from Land’s End to John O’Groats, with the aim of contributing to a £100,000 fundraising goal for the Candlelighters charity.

Helping to raise these funds is Allen Hart, a registered gas engineer from Guiseley, who has been offering free boiler installers and servicing in exchange for a donation to the charity. Mr Hart began providing charity installations in memory of his daughter, Laura Hart, who passed away from a rare form of cancer in 2007.

To complete each charity installation, Mr Hart relies on boiler and parts donations from manufacturers and for local installers to contribute their time for free. For the Gas Chat tour, Fernox has donated 12 Fernox TF1 Omega Filters, each with a 25-year body parts warranty, alongside Protector F1, Cleaner F3 and Electrolytic Scale Reducers to complement the boiler installation.

In addition, Fernox will also be hosting its own fundraiser for Candlelighters - a Golf Day, scheduled to take place on 8 June.

“The Gas Chat Tour is a great initiative that is helping raise awareness and much needed funds for the Candlelighters charity,” said Mr Hart.

“The support we have received so far has been amazing and we are grateful to companies, such as Fernox, that have made donations. This is a charity close to my heart and the funds raised will go a long way to provide practical, emotional and financial support to children living with cancer and their families.”
