Baxi Heating has won Marketing Team of the Year at the 2017 Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Marketing Excellence Awards.

The Awards celebrate outstanding marketing by organisations, individuals and teams across 21 categories that cover the breadth and depth of the sector.

The Baxi Heating marketing team, which includes Baxi Residential, Baxi Heating Commercial (Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial and Remeha), Potterton Residential, Main Heating and Heatrae Sadia, was assessed based on several criteria including clearly defined aims and objectives, originality, creativity and an innovative approach and evidence of collaboration and communication with employees, stakeholders, customers and partners.

Speaking about the Baxi Heating team, the judge’s comments were: “An outstanding team effort to transform a traditional company's perception of marketing. Carefully researched, planned and executed strategy, culminating in high-impact marketing and PR campaigns and financial results, all delivered through a true, boundary-breaking team effort.”

Baxi also received a special mention during the presentation of the Chair’s Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel ceremony.

Leigh Hopwood, chair of the board of trustees for CIM, said: “One organisation demonstrated what is possible if you have the right team, with the right capability, and the right intentions of putting the customer first – Baxi Heating. Many organisations could learn from you.”

Commenting on the win, marketing director Andrew Keating added: “Winning the best marketing team award is a huge achievement and I’m immensely proud of the team for their hard work and commitment over the last year.

“It’s fantastic to gain such high recognition from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Not only is it a great boost for Baxi Heating, but it also demonstrates how marketing teams can work successfully with other departments to increase productivity and sales and really add value to a business."
