Aggregate Industries’ SuperCurve asphalt has been laid at Silverstone.

As part of a longstanding contract with the world-renown Silverstone race circuit, Aggregate Industries recently completed a major resurfacing project in order to get the track ready for the recent British Grand Prix world championship.

Meeting the need for speed, the business’ expert team supplied and laid a mammoth 350 tonnes of SuperCurve asphalt in just one hour using three state-of-the-art pavers simultaneously. The high performance asphalt, which has been specifically designed and engineered to provide an enhanced surface course for higher stressed areas, was applied onto the Loop part of the track, which heads onto the iconic Wellington Straight.
