An employee at Keyline’s Colchester branch has raised a fantastic £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the charity’s ‘Brave the Shave’ initiative.

Yard Assistant John Plappert was sponsored to shave off his hair and beard to show support for men, women and children who are diagnosed with cancer. So far over 9,000 people from across the country have joined the initiative this year and pledged to shave it all off in aid of the charity.

John said: “Nearly everyone knows someone who has sadly been affected by cancer, so I wanted to do something to support the fantastic work Macmillan Cancer Support does with people in the Colchester community.

“A huge thank you to all my family, friends and Keyline colleagues who donated and helped me to raise a fantastic amount of money – it’s greatly appreciated.”
