Ben Kay MBE and Geordan Murphy, two Leicester Tigers legends, were the special guests for the Grand Opening launch event of BSS’ new branch in Thurmaston, Leicester.

A UK supplier of pipeline and heating solutions for the commercial and industrial market invited the two ex international rugby union stars and local Leicester sporting heroes to celebrate the branch officially opening its doors.

The new BSS Leicester is part of a new Travis Perkins Group trade park. The new trade park also features a Travis Perkins branch, Benchmarx and Wickes, making it a one stop shop for the building and plumbing trades.

Hundreds of visitors on the day had the opportunity to see the fantastic new branch facilities, including a fully merchandised trade counter featuring all the latest BOSS own-brand products, a full Hire-It offering and a large warehouse to ensure products are either available in stock or next day.

Guests also had the chance to meet the BSS Leicester team, including Branch Manager Craig Johnson, to get to know them better and understand more about the company, its wide range of products and its specialist approach to the industrial and commercial pipeline and heating sector.

Along with being able to rub shoulders with Ben Kay and Geordan Murphy and ask them questions, a host of sporting challenges were laid on for guests, including rugby challenges to test speed and accuracy and ‘Beat the Pro’. The open day also provided the opportunity for BSS to raise money for mental health charity Mind, the company’s nominated charity for 2017.
