Gripsure has created a new production facility, which is one-and-a-half times the size of its previous space. Expanding into premises next door and redesigning the space has enabled the manufacturer to improve its productivity and efficiency.

The expansion has also created more office space to accommodate the firm’s growing team and additional storage. This means the high-growth firm can now hold more of its timber decking boards in stock and respond more quickly to orders.

The expansion has been completed as Gripsure announces a 25% turnover increase over the last 12 months. This year the firm has doubled its production team and has secured a number of major national contracts.

Gripsure Managing Director Mike Nicholson said: “We are increasingly handling bigger orders for large customers so expanding our production space was essential. Growing and redesigning our space will help ensure we are as productive as possible and can continue to deliver outstanding customer service.

“This has been a really excellent year for Gripsure. As well as working with some of the UK’s leading household names such as Jewson, Homebase and Travis Perkins, we are growing our exports and are now supplying some of Europe’s leading builders and timber merchants.”

Gripsure has a growing range of timber decking boards, all with a design features to ensure they don’t get slippery, even in wet or icy weather. Manufactured in Cornwall, Gripsure decking can now be seen at a number of high profile locations, including De Vere Hotels, Go Ape, Center Parcs and the Eden Project.
