Over 1,000 people streamed through the doors of the Leeds United Conference Centre on Friday 10 November for the third annual Howarth Timber Trade Day – the biggest and best event to date.

This year, 72 of the building industry’s leading suppliers including Pavestone, Velux, Makita and Siniat were on hand to showcase the latest products and never-to-be-repeated deals to attendees.

Howarth Timber gave away its biggest ever prize with its ‘golden ticket’ draw: Anthony Reeves took home the grand prize, a Nissan Micra worth over £15,000. Runners up in the golden ticket competition took home a host of other prizes, including Samsung tablets, games consoles and vouchers, worth a total of £2,500.

Delegates were treated to a complimentary breakfast before product experts and building specialists from around the UK carried out demonstrations and shared insights into the very latest industry developments.

The third Trade Day Bonanza was the most successful to date, with hundreds of people registering to come to the event and a record-breaking number of tradespeople passing through the doors on the day. Over 1,300 entries were in the golden ticket prize draw, with anyone who spent £250 or more in-store, online or at the event in contention.

Neale Brewster, Marketing and Product Development Manager at Howarth Timber, said: "The Trade Day has been growing in prestige every year, and is now one of the most hotly-anticipated trade events of its kind thanks to the calibre of industry experts and suppliers we are able to attract.

“The ‘golden ticket’ competition gave us the opportunity to reward some of our loyal customers, and once again we were very proud to provide a platform for some of the industry’s leading lights.

“The sheer number of people through the doors is cause for celebration, and the feedback from both exhibitors and visitors was that this has been the best event yet. We would like to thank all the tradespeople, DIYers and self-builders who joined us from near and far to make the Trade Day yet another phenomenal success.”
