Huws Gray acquires Armstrongs and eyes further expansion

Published:  04 June, 2018

Builders’ Merchants firm Huws Gray has continued its expansion with the recent acquisition of Armstrongs Builders Merchants based in Lower Bentham, Lancashire.

Armstrongs is based in Lower Bentham, Lancashire – further expanding Huws Gray’s reach in the North West. Armstrongs runs a large showroom and warehouse, serving local trades and DIY.

The news comes just six weeks after Huws Gray’s recent acquisition of Penrith Building, with further projects in the pipeline for the company this year. It is also preparing for a new site in Whitchurch which will offer the opportunity to bring a former brownfield site back into use and generate employment in the area.

Dewi Morris, Director at Huws Gray, said: “Following the integration of Penrith building supplies we feel very privileged to add another quality merchant into our branch network in the North West and are looking forward to working with a young energetic team.

"We have exciting plans for the remainder of 2018 as we continue on the acquisition trail.”
