1000th Rå-build house nears completion

BERKSHIRE: Wates Living Space for client A2dominion is nearing completion of the 1000th house built using H+H's Ra-build method of construction.

The system is said to reduce the cost of meeting the Code for Sustainable Homes. Around £20 000 has been shaved off the cost of constructing the 28 houses and apartments to meet Code Level 3 on the £3.5m Berkshire development. Minett Group is the project's specialist Rå-build contractor.

Unlike most frame systems, the Rå-build method does not require any waiting time for settlement before applying the render or other finishes, said its manufacturer, H+H.
