Treats all round as NMBS transforms for Halloween

Published:  09 November, 2018

Things turned spooky at the National Merchant Buying Society when it hosted a day of Halloween celebrations to raise money for charity.

A fancy dress competition saw the entire NMBS team dress up in spooktacular costumes including witches, mummies, creepy clowns and skeleton pirates – plus a special appearance from Edward Scissorhands. The offices were overrun with spiders, bats and cobwebs, while the staff tried their hands at pumpkin carving.

There was a series of Halloween-themed games as well as a tombola, with a hot buffet to reward everyone for their festive efforts.

And it was all for a good cause - the day raised £400 for charity CRASH, which supports homelessness organisations and hospices with construction-related projects.

Dean Hayward, Sales and Marketing Manager at NMBS, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to help support our industry charities, and knew that the fun day would be a chance to have some fun in the office – who doesn’t love dressing up for Halloween?

“The whole NMBS team made a massive effort and there were some terrific costumes on the day. I’m really proud of how much money we were able to raise for such a good cause.”
