A festive raffle has launched in aid of charity Parkinson’s UK.

Back by popular demand, this is the second year that the recently refurbished Southend branch of roofing distributor SIG is running the raffle.

The branch is welcoming new and existing customers to take part and be in with a chance of winning prizes ranging from power tools to champagne and festive hampers, all donated by supplies, with the top prize worth more than £200.

Last year’s efforts raised more than £1,000 for the charity, which works to improve the quality of life for people affected by Parkinson's and find a cure for the condition. SIG hopes to achieve the same again this year.

Branch Manager David Platt said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to once again be hosting the Christmas raffle.

“Parkinson’s UK is a fantastic charity and not only are we pleased to be supporting but also promoting awareness within the local community.

“We look forward to raising money for a great cause while spreading some festive cheer.”
