SCA Wood UK has appointed two Production Managers and a Quality Assurance Manager to strengthen its operations.

Malcolm George, previously manager of SCA’s Stoke production facility, will head up the production operation at Melton and Russ Ellis (pictured), formerly Production Development Manager across SCA’s three production plants, takes responsibility for Welshpool production.

Both George and Ellis bring a wealth of experience to their respective new roles having been with SCA for over 20 years between them. They have track records of delivering production targets, improving efficiencies, delivering OTIF and achieving the high safety standards that SCA works to.

Robert Beardmore joins SCA’s quality team as Quality Assurance Manager, covering the Stoke and Melton sites. Beardmore will be responsible for the maintenance and development of existing processes and procedures to ensure that the quality of SCA’s products is in line with commercially agreed standards. He joins SCA with 17 years of experience in quality control and assurance.

Managing Director John Griffiths said: “We are constantly striving to improve our processes to ensure our products are of the highest quality at all times.

“We work closely together across our sites to continuously improve our existing standards. These new appointments will enhance our production and quality functions across our business.”
