ESHER: Shower and bathroom specialist, Hansgrohe, has named Jonathan Burns as its full-time training manager.

The role was previously shared within the company, this latest appointment means a dedicated focus on training and development which will result in more effective provision for both Hansgrohe customers and internal staff.

A key element of Mr Burns' role will be to develop and deliver the current training programme for customers including the latest installer courses which are already proving popular, with only a few remaining spaces for 2010.

The full-time focus will allow Mr Burns to proactively consider future training needs and also respond to current customer requirements. In future, for example, it may be possible to take some courses out to customer’s premises with the help of the Hansgrohe liveried vehicle which is fully-equipped with working models of the latest product innovations.

Mr Burns is also carrying our detailed analysis to establish internal needs and looks forward to playing an active role in skills development and training across all key departments. He comments, “Upgrading internal training will result in improvements to the already high standards of service that customers receive”.

Mr Burns comes to Hansgrohe having spent over 10 years in key learning and development roles for blue chip companies in the fields of finance, FMCG and travel. As part of his own personal development, he is currently undertaking a qualification in interior design.
