The role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing relationships with key customers including Local Authorities, Schools and Housing Developers etc

You will also be responsible for nurturing key accounts and establishing yourself as a first point of contact for both new and existing customers.

The role will be project driven and the Key Account Manager will be tasked with identifying projects and opportunities for new business on a National scale

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new commercial clients

· Be responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channel

· Focus on growing and developing existing commercial clients, together with generating new business

· Write business plans for all current and opportunity tender business

· Act as the key interface between the Key Account customer and all relevant departments

· Identifying client needs and opportunities by growing partnerships with allocated key accounts

· Maximising opportunities to optimise spend and exceed commercial sales target

· Reviewing best practice for continuous improvement

· Achieve quotes, orders, conversion rates and margin % targets

· Ensuring accurate data and information is maintained on the CRM system

· Completing monthly reports and analysis to track and monitor progress against targets and overall activity and taking remedial action when required

The Individual

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a self-starter with experience in a project led role, preferably within the playground, landscaping or similar industry.

You will need proven experience in developing relationships with Housing Developers and have previously worked in a field based position.

· Solution selling experience essential

· Financial Awareness

· Must have a flexible approach to working

· Ability to manage own time and prioritise workload

· Ability to work on own initiative to a high level of accuracy and to meet deadlines

· Customer Care - Capable of delivering results and meeting customer expectations

Salary CIRCA £45K + HIGH OTE
